How We Rate Firms.
Every firm can carry two separate ratings. They come from different places on purpose.
The TradingBay Rating
Our editorial score for each firm, weighing the factors below against the firm\u2019s real, published terms - not who pays us. It is a considered judgement, not an automated output.
The Trader Rating
The average of reviews left by traders on TradingBay. It builds up as traders review, so many firms show none yet.
What Shapes the Score
These are the factors we weigh most heavily, roughly in this order. They guide the rating rather than lock it to a fixed formula, so we can account for context a spreadsheet would miss.
Some Firms Are Unrated
Where there is no outside reputation signal to read, a firm shows a dash instead of a score.
Closed Firms Come Down
When a firm stops operating, it comes out of the directory and rankings and its links are switched off.
Scores Move
Terms change constantly in this industry. When a firm changes its split, payout speed or rules, we revisit the rating against the new facts.
